Groene vruchten

Time to get back in to more studying now that I've got that damn portfolio picture out of the way... at last. I actually had quite fun doing this but I don't really like the texture on the apple. I need to start using more hard brush only or something to make it less blurry or something. I don't know, it just feels like the spot where the shade meets the light feels a bit... noisy?
Anyways, time to get back to doing more studies. And now that I'm sketching anatomy studies in my A4 sketchbook I might even post them for once.

And here's a long quote but it's a good one so I'm putting it here.

It destroys everything around it except itself. Self-pity will destroy relationships, it will destroy anything that’s good, it will fulfill all the prophesies it makes and leave only itself. And it’s so simple to imagine that one is hard done by, and that things are unfair, and that one is under-appreciated, and that if only one had had a chance of this or only one had had a chance at that, things would have gone better. You would be happy if only this. That one is unlucky. All those things - and some of them may well even be true - but to pity oneself as a result of them is to do oneself an enormous disservice. - Stephen Fry

I tried painting a multi-toned apple a few days ago, it's a bitch D: Going to have to do that more, it was a challenge.

Also did you change the settings on the brush a bit or did you just go pure hard brush on it?

  3. ... I still can't figure out how to paint on Photoshop. Ah well, I've at least been messing around with still life stuff in pencil. Not as good as yours, but I guess that's a start, right?
